Where I’ve Been, and Where We’re Going

When I first set out to write about the things I love, I never thought I would’ve hit a burn-out. However, when you write a 5-6 paragraph review of a horror film every single day for the entire month of October in 2023, one tends to get a little tired of typing. Then in 2024, I tried to catch back up, but my computer RAM had other plans. From constant blue screens to drafts of a bunch of different reviews not saving, I decided that my long-form reviews weren’t in the cards. So, where have I been?

If you are a returning or a new reader, I recommend following my Instagram. Most of my reviews for 2024 and 2025 are posted as story highlights, and I will be continuing to post short-form reviews on there for 2026. Also, just last month I started a Letterboxd and reviews will be linked there as well. While Instagram and Letterboxd have definitely been fulfilling my desire to share my initial thoughts on the films I see throughout the year, they haven’t been my main creative outlet for my movie loving.

Since 2024, I have been a frequent guest on the Movie Planet Podcast. Joe, Steve, and Josh over there have been awesome allowing me to join them, and it has been a total blast. If you aren’t aware of the podcast, I highly recommend you check out older episodes; mine being the Quiet Place films, the Sonic Trilogy, Jojo Rabbit, and several bonus shows (content warning- the show is explicit). I’m extremely proud of my episodes (particularly Jojo Rabbit and Sonic 3), and would love for everyone who’s interested to check out the guys over there.

While explaining where I’ve been, I also want to send an update on the future. With my computer situation (kinda-not really) solved, I plan on bringing back my long form content here on the site. Whether it’s my thoughts on the Dune Messiah and Avengers: Doomsday double feature, my ranting over the coming horrible films, or sharing my thoughts on what needs to be adapted (*cough* Expedition 33 *cough*), I’m looking forward to returning in 2026. On top of that, my short reviews on Letterboxd and Instagram are still going to be my frequent way of sharing my reviews.

The biggest piece of news, however, circles back to the guys at Movie Planet Podcast. In February 2026, the podcast is re-branding as the Parking Lot Movie Club, and I am joining Joe, Josh, and Steve as a main contributor to the show. I’m going to be on a lot more episodes and will also be working behind the scenes as well. With that said, expect some future posts on here being mostly a link to podcast episodes (insider secret: February is going to start off strong). I’m extremely excited for this next part of the journey, and I hope that anybody reading this goes on this journey with us. Expect to see more soon. Looking forward to sharing with you all in 2026 and beyond.
